Rob Young
It's tough being a mermaid family these days, and this Halloween, we interviewed the King of the Seas about life lately and his experience using Prodigies.

Plus, we roped him into filming a special 1 Note Study for Prodigies Members which you can watch here.

    Happy Halloween!

L'amour est un Oiseau Rebelle (Easy Guided Performance)

“L’amour est un Oiseau Rebelle” or “Love is a Rebellious Bird” is an aria from Georges Bizet’s 1875 opera, Carmen. It's often referred to as “Habanera” because of the song style. Bizet created an elaborate arrangement and poetic lyrics beautifully describing the complicated state of being in love.

In this easy guided performance, join King Tritone in playing along to this epic Bizet composition with a single C bell. How does this work?

King Tritone's favorite note is the C.

For the easy version, King Tritone focuses on playing a steady beat with long half notes. The original composition is in the time signature 2/4 where a half note takes up the whole measure. Most students who are playing with the one-note version will be more familiar with the time signature 4/4 where it takes 2 half notes to fill a measure.

King Tritone plays half notes on the staff.

    Sing, Sign and Play

Grab your red bell, C, go under the sea, and see what all the hype is about in this easy guided performance of "L'amour est un Oiseau Rebelle" or "Love is a Rebellious Bird." Happy Musicing!
